“ Food is wonderful, reliable chinese dishes as you expect and have come to love. big menu, typical. can make reservations by phone ahead of time. walk in available too. but if you have a large group def just be safe and reserve because why play dangerously when it comes to mealtime. especially on holidays this place will be packed with families for christmas, mother's day, etc. plan ahead. dim sum available in morning, very packed on weekends. come early or come late for less crowd. they serve dessert complimentary after your meal, such as red bean soup or others. it rotates. parking is not hard. street parking. ”

“ Classic Cantonese Cuisine served via multiple courses banquet-style on a lazy Susan.. Pretty good service for a Chinese restaurant, Bright interior, and busy crowds, especially on weekend nights. It's almost as if this was the Chinese-American equivalent of "Original Joe's" for many of us in San Francisco! Riverside Seafood has been around for nearly 20 years now, but their food nowadays to us is our favorite pick for Cantonese-style cuisine whether it is for a fancy multi course dinner, a casual midweek to-go offering, or dim sum in the mornings. The food here is consistently good, even during the pandemic, and now, they seem to be at the top of their game. Our favorites here begin with the Beijing style spareribs - kind of an orange-infused glaze on that.. YUM.. The Lobster is always fresh here, and we have it over noodles, Beef, chicken and veggie choices are quite good as well, served with delicious sauces on most offerings. Kinda hard to go wrong here.. at least for us! =) Count us in as regulars here! ”

“ Food is a solid 4/5 for everything. The missing 5 star would be the quality. Service is usually pretty quick. Although on the weekends if you don't arrive at the right time, there will be a long wait or you won't get much service as their attention is divided up. Very casual family restaurant, so you can expect noise and clattering. I personally like their beef noodle roll, chicken feet, and the steamed spareribs. I have tried the steamed soup dumpling (xiao long bao) but I think the wrapping is too thick so it doesn't taste as good. ”

“ A very nostalgic spot for me as I came a lot as a child and we would have yum cha with my family. Also very cool to see some waiters that are still there, I know they don't know me but everything I think of this restaurant I think of them to! This is definitely the spot to go, it's right on the corner. Delcious food and fast service and great atmosphere. ”

“ Wow! You can never go wrong with this restaurant for dim sum lunch or dinner. The 12 of us had dinner on a Wednesday evening. Make sure to bring your wines as there is no corkage fee! Instead of ordering a prefix dinner, we opted for 10 dishes with no regrets. The food came out fast! We ordered all our favorites and everything was really good. 2 orders hung tao Yee foo Won ton soup 2 Orders spicy salt chicken wings - yummy! Cooked to perfection. Clams and black bean sauce Crispy Taro duck - an excellent must get dish!! Pork hash with salted egg - need more eggs! Tomato beef curry geen mein - needs more tomato Sliced pork belly with preserved veggies - pork a little fatty tonight n Pea shoots and garlic Filet of cod with black bean sauce. Diced chicken and salted fish fried rice. This dinner fed 12 of us with leftovers. It came out to $284 and they gave us complimentary warm dessert of taro and tiny boba pearl. $24 per person! We will be back! ”

“ Quality/Quantity - Overall food was 3.5 stars. Fresh Prawn Fruit Salad - Have to admit, a very good start of the meal. Too bad for most of us, this was the best part of the meal. Fresh and with generous portions. See pictures, actually see pictures of all the food. Squid & Scallop with XO Sauce - Overall good, not sure if all of the scallops were cooked all the way as some felt/tasted like sashimi style??? House Special Combination Soup - I am NOT a soup person, but this was okay. I finished my bowl. Chef Special Chicken - More like steamed chicken with ginger sauce. One of my favorite dishes, but they did not do a great job here. It was not bad, but not great. The ginger could have been fresher, more flavorful, etc. Baked Lobster Braised with Superior Soup - Good, but not enough meaty pieces. Not enough tail pieces??? Deep Fried Crispy Squabs - Squabs have very little meat, and these were no different. But it also lacked flavor. Even with the added salt and pepper... Sea Cucumber Braised with Black Mushroom - I ate the mushroom only. Not a sea cucumber kind of person. And I was veggies out; if you are following, you know I have been eating extremely healthy the last few weeks. Steamed Fish - This was good also. Meaty. Fried Rice with Egg White & Dried Scallops - Another one of the better dishes. But you can almost not make this wrong. Dim Sum - Someone ordered one of these for each table, but did not communicate, so our table was confused. I am sure it was ordered for the "kids" as there was sure not enough to share. I sacrificed my share for the kids, lol. Dessert - I forfeit my bean dessert, but did take half of one of the donuts. Atmosphere - Medium size restaurant. The biggest challenge was the two unisex bathrooms as it was just NOT enough for ALL their Sunday lunch customers. Always a line. It did not help that it is located in a VERY busy narrow path from the kitchen to the dining room. See picture. Plus we have some seniors as guests that just struggled waiting in that long line. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 8:30pm. Street parking, good luck. We parked on Wawona by the park. Service - Overall service was 4 stars, rounding up as we ate during the busiest part of the day and had over 30 people in our party (with reservations). Good, considering it was a crazy busy Sunday. Of course, our 30+ people (with reservations) added to the chaos. Price - Almost $1700 including generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success for 20+ years...? Not sure how many ownership changes. Remodeled in 2006. ”

“ My mom's favorite Chinese restaurant in the city (at least currently - growing up it used to be Eight Immortals on Taraval - I'm sad it's no longer the same...). Whenever I go home for a visit, there's always ONE night reserved for a family dinner at Riverside. There's only street parking (not a surprise since it's SF), but there's NO issue find a spot and the area is relatively safe. The restaurant is no frills and homey - and you know it's legit and good when the restaurant is full on a random Wednesday night on a quiet neighborhood block. My mom usually orders and the dishes can vary depending on what she feels like, but she ALWAYS orders the giant scallop/clam thing with vermicelli. Very meaty, large portions. Pricey, but good. Definitely solid Chinese food - sometimes they are a bit heavy handed on the seasoning (not super consistent), but overall still good. ”
